2Is Inc is seeking an Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical part design, sourcing or manufacture. A major component of the position will involve reverse and re-engineering and/or sourcing mission critical repair parts for all branches of the military. Critical skills involve: use of inspection equipment to obtain accurate parametric data, Solidworks CAD modeling incorporating GD&T requirements and familiarity with industry standard material and non-destructive testing requirements. Broad technical design and manufacturing knowledge is a must as well as the ability to optimize complex design problems and verify those decisions. Additionally, interaction with the customer and supplier on technical issues is a routine part of the position. Given the criticality of projects to the safety of personnel and operability of military equipment, attention to detail is a must.
The individual must be a US citizen as all projects involve US military repair parts.

Sr. Engineer
2Is Inc is seeking a Sr. Engineer to further expand our engineering knowledge base and to reverse engineer, re-engineer components and assemblies which are sourced into our manufacturing network. The applicant needs to be technically proficient in re-engineering/reverse engineering automotive, aerospace and maritime parts which are primarily mechanical or electro-mechanical and used on military weapon systems. The applicant should also have experience sourcing a variety of components with various manufacturing processes, such as forgings, castings, tight tolerance machining, fabrication, assembly, extrusion and molding.
Critical skills involve: use of inspection equipment to obtain accurate parametric data, Solidworks CAD modeling incorporating GD&T requirements and familiarity with industry standard material and non destructive testing requirements. Broad technical design and manufacturing knowledge is a must as well as the ability to optimize complex design problems and verify those decisions. The primary scope of responsibilities will involve completing complex, mission critical projects with minimal technical assistance. The candidate must also provide technical guidance to other engineers at design review meetings and sign off on final manufacturing drawings. Attention to detail is a must. Additionally, interaction with the customer and supplier on technical issues is a routine part of the position.
Hands on experience and deep technical design knowledge of military and/or commercial vehicle and aircraft components and subsystems a plus (i.e. suspension systems, drive-train components, electrical communications equipment, steering systems, electromechanical controls, diesel engine components, etc.) Experience with US Military or FAA source approval processes is a plus. Defense industry experience a plus. The applicant must be a US citizen as all projects involve US military repair parts.
