Software Developer

Software Development Intern

Any student with a major that includes a significant mathematics foundation will be considered, including: bio-engineering, chemistry, mathematics, electrical engineering, probability, statistics, actuarial, etc.

The Software Development/QA intern will work with senior and junior software developers to build and refine software development skills in the LISP programming language. The intern will work on both statistical and programming projects to support 2Is’ software programs. Depending on the intern’s interest and experience, the completion of an independent original development project is generally a part of the internship.

No programming knowledge or experience is necessary but the intern will spend a large amount of time gaining basic programming knowledge, and therefore candidates must demonstrate a desire to learn the basics of software development and apply this knowledge to small projects. The intern will also conduct several quantitative classifications and analyses of software defects as a part of a yearly review of software defects.

Candidates should be a sophomore, junior, senior student or recent graduate with an interest in software development. An introductory Computer Science course is helpful but not necessary.

Product Specialist

The Product Specialist will liaise between software users and 2Is’ software development team. The Product Specialist will utilize his/her expert knowledge of 2Is’ software and understanding of customer needs to advocate for improved user experience. This individual must feel comfortable communicating directly with users and speaking in front of small and large groups. The ideal candidate has a technical aptitude and an interest in software. This individual should be a creative problem solver who is interested in advancing software and business development efforts.
